Welcome to Shtrak. Here we tell stories and celebrate achievements - ours, yours and those of various Bulgarian social enterprises from all over the country, together. This is made possible thanks to our new, shared social space, created by the Bulgarian Center for Not-For-Profit Law, the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation and JAMBA. A hub that gives people with different abilities and from different communities a chance to engage in common collaborations. A place where socially vulnerable people can get educated, trained and included in the labor market in a dignified way.
In Shtrak, you will find products of social enterprises from DarPazar, which support various causes affecting the lives of all of us - from nature conservation cultural development, preservation of traditions, and employment of people in vulnerable situations . People like Nadia from the Maria's World Foundation make sure that Shtrak is clean, tidy and well-organized and the participants are supplied with great coffee for every event. Along with this, she develops her social, communication and teamwork skills so that she can feel belonging and responsible.
About us
Shtrak combines a cafe, an event space, as well as a shop with products of Bulgarian social enterprises. Here, talented creators and artists offer unique products, tackling a series of social problems. Single mothers supported by the Nativity of Christ Foundation find additional income, young people who grew up in institutions learn valuable skills in the Social Teahouse, refugees find the support they need thanks to Caritas, and people with mental health difficulties from the "Worlds" Workshop find a new way of self-expression.
The creations of these and many other inspiring heroes - only in Sofia at 3 Hristo Belchev Street (ground floor), where we learn together that support and encouragement of development take many forms.
