JAMBA is the Social Future Foundation's social enterprise and supports people with disabilities in learning useful skills and becoming competitive in the labour market.
Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation
The Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation unites people with different ideas for the protection of Bulgarian nature. They are dedicated to preserving natural resources, changing the attitude towards protected areas and protected species and realizing the opportunities, benefits and responsibilities towards them. Therefore, they create a social enterprise in which they "bring together" people who love nature with small producers who develop their business in harmony with nature.
Workshop "The biskuits”
"The biskuits " workshop is part of the "Future for Children" Association. The social enterprise was created to support grown-up children with disabilities, providing them with conditions to build work skills and habits and providing them with employment opportunities. In the workshop, the young people make and decorate boutique cookies for various occasions - weddings, birthdays, baptisms, personal and company holidays, etc.
Made With Love 21
Social enterprise "Made With Love 21" realizes handmade products of people with disabilities - artists and mothers of children with special needs. They organize and participate in creative workshops with various activities: modelling with clay, painting with coffee, decoupage, and making fabric products, with the participation of artists from the social enterprise.
Art Atelier "Tvorilnitsa"
In “Tvorilnitsa” Art Atelier, talented artists make textile products and invest directly in improving the quality of life of people with mental health difficulties. "Tvorilnitsa" is part of the employment provision program of the Global Initiative in Psychiatry-Sofia, where people with mental disorders can gain knowledge and skills for work and work experience.
CaritArt – a social enterprise of Caritas Sofia
CaritArt is part of the large family of Caritas Sofia, where talented people in disadvantageous positions make cards and souvenirs from felt, leather, clay and textiles. Our products are suitable both for a special occasion and for every day.
Operation: Teddy Bear
The mission of the “Operation: Teddy Bear” association is to support and assist in the physical, intellectual, spiritual, emotional and professional growth of disadvantaged children and youth: deprived of parental care, children and youth at risk, as well as adults with mental disabilities.
“Worlds” Workshop
In the "Worlds" workshop at the "Worlds" day centre of the "World of Maria" Foundation, young people with intellectual disabilities make handmade products with a lot of love and care. Along with this, they unleash their creative imagination, supported by professionals with experience in the field of fine and applied arts. Here, people acquire skills for working in a team, following instructions and completing work tasks, mastering the rhythm of work and rest, and independence in completing tasks. In addition, the work improves fine motor skills and aesthetic sense and supports the formation of skills for combining different elements into a harmonious whole, free expression, creative thinking and finding solutions.
Bon Appétit Catering
The “World of Maria” Foundation's “Bon Appétit Catering” provides training for young people with intellectual disabilities. While working in that environment, they develop work habits and gain the skills necessary to perform complex tasks. Young people see the result of their work, are happy to have a meaningful occupation and prepare delicious food, which is highly appreciated by the users of the service. All funds earned from the catering service are invested in its future improvement and the development of people with intellectual disabilities, clients of the Foundation.
Centre for non-formal education and cultural activity “ALOS”
“ALOS” Centre works for a better cultural and social environment in Bulgaria. It supports the development of children, youth and young artists in the "Education through Art" program, which recreates the cultural and natural heritage preserved in Bulgarian museums in an intriguing and accessible way - through crafts, art and historical tournaments.
Social Bistro “Karisto”
The “Karisto” bistro gives opportunities to disadvantaged individuals by having them prepare every meal. Here you will enjoy authentic Lebanese cuisine, freshly prepared on-site and support these people. Working in the bistro gives people with limited access to the labour market the opportunity to integrate into society and have their income. Bistro Karisto is part of the large family of “Caritas Sofia”, where everyone believes in goodwill and quality, home-cooked cuisine.
“Nativity of Christ” Social Centre
The “Nativity of Christ” social centre creates opportunities for disadvantaged women by helping them develop skills to organize their lives. They participate in craft workshops where they can work according to their interest and abilities. In this friendly environment, women work with dignity.
Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds
The “Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds” works for the protection of wild birds and their habitats. They advocate for the right of wild nature to exist, thus contributing to the sustainable use of natural resources and the well-being of the people.
"Draw Me a Smile"
The social enterprise "Draw Me a Smile" employs cancer patients in remission and supports the activities of the day centre for adults and the day centre for children of cancer patients. The association offers free psychosocial services and rehabilitation for cancer patients and their relatives.
Joy Bakery
In the “Joy Bakery” social enterprise, young people with special needs learn the subtleties of the culinary craft, gain valuable experience and work with dignity. They are masters of bakery products - croissants, cakes, gingerbread, bread, muffins, catering, and many others.
Atelier "Concordia"
At atelier "Concordia" young people from vulnerable groups make candles, and this is often the first workplace where they exercise their skills and work discipline with great desire and diligence. Their work is guided and supported by master occupational therapists, and their jobs are supported by their successful sales.
Things with a Soul
The social enterprise "Things with a Soul", located in Varna, has a double cause – to employ people with disabilities and special needs and make educational toys, games and materials for children of preschool and primary school age.
